The Tongue Tie Tribe is awesome. I took my 2nd baby here when he was about 10 wks old after finding them via a google search and recognizing Danielle as a lactation consultant someone had recommended to me with my firstborn (didn't see her for him because wanted someone who did home visits at the time).

Long story short my first had ties that we discovered at 2 months of age and were released by another provider at 3 months of age. I thought with my 2nd baby I was being proactive by seeing a lactation consultant earlier (11 days old and then follow ups every few weeks). That LCs approach was that since he was gaining weight very well (almost 2oz/day), despite seeing restrictions in his mouth, was to wait and see how he did. He gained weight very well until about 6 wks and then started getting fussy. Barely anyone could hold him besides me for more than a few minutes. It was exhausting and my gut was telling me the issue was the ties. Around the same time we went to his 2 month app and his percentile had gone down. It was then I called Tongue Tie Tribe. We were able to get an appointment to see Danielle the next day. In that appointement she made both me and my husband comfortable right away and she confirmed what my mommy gut had been telling me for 3 weeks-- the ties were the issue. He had gained only 2oz in the previous week. I appreciated that while there she showed us exercises we could do before each feeding. Where we went for our first baby's releases this wasn't a thing. With these exercises alone in the days between our consult and when we were able to have the ties released I could tell that my baby was breastfeeding better and able to get more milk. I really appreciate this holistic approach and it is something that really sets this team apart. It isn't their goal to just release tongue and lip ties. Their goal is to strength the tongue and lips to improve the outcome if any releases are needed. I also liked that the follow-up LC and chirpractic visits were included- follow-up care is so important to ensure the ties don't re-attach.

Also an FYI, sadly most pediatricians will not diagnose a baby with a tongue tie unless it is an obvious one that is tied to the tip. Neither of my children had that type, both were more posterior and all the pediatricians we saw said they weren't tongue tied, but after a few months of a breastfeeding when their tongues had to work for it there was clearly an issue.

If you have any doubts about breastfeeding or are struggling with it, make an appointment with them, you will not regret it! Even if your baby doesn't have ties at least you can rule that out as being an issue and get help resolving anything else. Danielle is called the Booby Fairy for a reason! Dr. Weaver and Dr. Berger are also great. And thanks to Dr. Weaver's recommendations we were able to avoid needing a helmet to correct flatness on one side of his head (his head is almost perfectly round now!). With my next baby I will be making an appointment to stop here on my way home from the hospital or as soon as I can thereafter. I believe my breastfeeding journey would have been much easier had I come here sooner. I'm so grateful for this team!

I'm writing this review over a month after my daughter's procedure because I wanted to account for her recovery when writing this review.

My wife and I had our daughter's ties taken care of last month. The staff at Tongue Tie Tribe was kind, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable.

They released her upper lip and tongue ties. After a few weeks of recovery, my daughter is feeding better, and she is able to manipulate her tongue a lot more.

The staff equipped my wife and I with the resources we needed to help aid our daughter before and after the procedure.

Unfortunately, our insurance didn't cover the procedure but we are very happy with results.

BEST DECISION WE'VE EVER MADE! We cannot recommend the Tongue Tie Tribe enough. We were at a loss after several dr apts with what to do as our baby was not gaining weight, struggled feeding, and was always seemed to be in constant pain. We set up a consultation here and learned more within that first hour about breast feeding, babies, ties, etc. than we had from any other appointment. Our baby had lip, tongue, and cheek ties, and getting them released was truly the best decision (with no pressure on their end, we went with our gut). After the procedure it was a complete 180 with our baby and she starting gaining weight, breast feeding with ease, and her entire demeanor changed in the best way. I also so appreciated the follow up appointments Tongue Tie Tribe scheduled with us and that their door/phone was always open for any questions I had. My husband and I always felt so taken care of and truly are so grateful for Tongue Tie Tribe. Danielle, Dr. Weaver, Dr. Berger, and Katie are the best out there - thank you for everything!!

The entire team at Tongue Tie Tribe is absolutely amazing. I have never felt so comfortable and at home anywhere else before. Dr Berger was so sweet and took such great care of my baby. She took the time to explain everything before and after as well as asked if I had any questions or concerns. Danielle Gauss is the reason I continue to come to TTT for lactation advice. She’s the best and so sweet/funny! Wish I knew about this team with my first child. I would recommend to anyone and everyone to at least try TTT, it’s the best and there is no other like them!

Dr. Berger and her team were extremely friendly and are great with what they do! My infant was able to get the tongue tie release done quickly and as painless as they can. They give you time to ask questions and ease any worry and their follow-up is great! We're very pleased.

THE BEST hands down!!! I’d give more stars if I could. I truly can’t say enough of the amazing women that work here. Especially Danielle my baby fairy. She caught my sons Tongue, lip & cheek tie when he was 3 days old. We got the procedure done to fix him and she guided me through the process plus my whole breastfeeding journey. Which can be so stressful & emotional and she calmed me & gave me so many tips. They are all knowledgeable, kind and super helpful. I still continue to go back for my sons body work. He is now 9 months old and thriving. I love the Tongue Tie Tribe. I could go on and on about them with only good things to say.

The team at tongue tie tribe are absolutely amazing! I brought my baby in for a consultation with their dentist and unlike other places, they aren’t “cut happy” and take a more conservative approach. We were able to talk through all of my concerns and by the end I had all the answers I needed and I left with a clear picture of what I wanted to do next. Nothing about their practice is predatory, I never felt pressured to do anything and if you read what you sign on the intake form it’s very clear who on the team takes insurance and who doesn’t. It’s really that simple. I’m so happy I found them and I can’t wait for them to start working on my baby girl.

First of all I don't know where this profile name came from "sugar townie". My name is Teresa Y.
Most of us have grown up hearing the expression "tongue tied" and maybe never understanding that this is a real and common occurrence in babies.
My youngest grandchild was born with this affliction and after learning how important it is to have it taken care of as it can cause many complications in their lives I accompanied my daughter to The Tongue Tie Tribe.
Through the whole process we felt comfortable and informed and well looked after. The staff, led by Danielle Gauss, were knowledgeable and efficient and their holistic approach ensures the baby gets the best care from start to finish.
I highly recommend this facility
