Extremely knowledgeable and friendly owner. They know a lot about different scents. If you are looking for a specific smell, chances are they have it.
While it's not exactly on the cheaper side, it lives up to the quality of what they sell, which is worth it for how long the scents should last for you.

If you like to smell nice and unique, or you love a bit of history with your perfume or cologne, then you can't go wrong with this New Orleans gem of a fragrance shop. A must for Frag heads. Super welcoming and cool.

We walked into the Madame Aucoin Perfume shop and immediately fell in love with the place. The Great Nephew of the original Madame Aucoin has painstakingly restored this building and brought many of his Great Aunt’s belongings in as displays. They are a full service perfume shop with a huge selection of fragrances and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Just walking through is a delight not to be missed.

Walked in on a whim and spied some Montale perfumes that I was just thinking about buying online! The woman in the shop was so nice and gave me some samples of other fragrances as well. Very good vibes, beautiful scents!!!

Madame Aucoin's might have turned me in to a perfume-head (enthusiast). I walked in to this shop during a recent vacation out of sheer curiosity and had so much fun, I returned two more times, each time trying out different perfumes. Adriana was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and helped make everything very accessible, which I really appreciated because I went in knowing absolutely nil about perfumes and fragrances. What a difference it made to experiment and learn about perfumes at Madame Aucoin's! There is something very special about this place: very calm and peaceful. Surprised myself by making a couple purchases for myself and the boyfriend. I had the best time and am looking forward to returning.

You know there are times when Providence lands you in a place and sometimes you don't even know why but during the final four weekend in New Orleans, I was trying to find a place to park on a little side street close to Mena's to get some breakfast with my sister and niece and there was one spot and after cramming my way into that spot a kindly gentleman suggested maybe I had torn my truck up,... LOL ....but that damage unfortunately happened somewhere else. He told me to visit him later to his place, a perfume shop across the street, so after breakfast.I took my sister there and we browsed and learned lots of history of this perfume and of the ladies that started it from Jennifer an amazing bon vivant of fragrance. We were told of the amazing history of a number of the items there, it made me want to go back, when I had a bit more money and buy cologne for my son for a wedding gift in a few weeks, so we'll be back there soon enough! I really really enjoyed this wonderful little shop and it's cool owner.

What a dream! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed sampling the niche perfumes, and Jennifer was so helpful and knowledgeable. We bought some fragrances to remember our first trip to New Orleans.
